Sublative laser treatment can be a little uncomfortable for the patient due to the deep heat technology at work. However, a numbing cream will be applied to the required areas before treatment. This will help you stay comfortable throughout the session.
Your skin may be slightly swollen and red after the treatment. That will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. You can apply makeup to your face immediately following the procedure if you wish. Tiny crusts may develop on the treated areas for 5-10 days after your session, but these are natural and will go away with time. You’ll see the full results of your treatments in three to six months time.
The results are dependent on individual skin type, number of treatments and the conditions being treated. We recommend three to six treatments spaced out every four to six weeks between each treatment.
Recovering from a Fractora session depends upon the aggressiveness of the settings and treatment.
For mild settings, the recovery is quick – most patients resume normal activities immediately. But for more vigorous Fractora settings for more problematic skin, a week of downtime may be needed.
Noticeable results can typically be seen after 2 weeks, although some clients are able to see visible results immediately. Over the following three months, improvements in the results can be seen.
Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
You will experience some redness in your face for one to two days after the procedure. We recommend that you wait to wash your face for at least four hours. Wait to apply makeup or resume your regular skincare routine until the redness is gone.
Patients will need at least three treatments before collagen production begins. Some patients may need six or more treatments, depending on the condition of their skin and the treated areas. We still space these appointments out every four to six weeks.
Because the surface of the skin is being pierced, patients may experience some discomfort. However, our technicians apply a numbing cream to the skin before the procedure.
